Our continuing "normal" globally is still focused around distancing ourselves from each other and wearing masks. It is hard to believe that planet Earth is still dealing with this Covid-19 pandemic. Three words/phrases that I am ready to see disappear from our global vocabulary are Covid-19, social distancing, and quarantine.
As schools are starting back up for the fall semester, many have not been in a physical school building for 5-6 months. It is also amazing to learn how this pandemic has affected all stages of life. One interesting thing to have learned was how important and vital physical contact or emotional connection is for individuals. We all need each other. Ironically and tragically, suicides, divorces, and work lay-offs are up, or "through the roof" in some places.
One thing we have all known and now know to appreciate better is education. The power of academic gain, influence, and empowerment by leaders and teachers have always made a significant difference in our lives. Now as many move online for education, jobs, meetings, relationships, and church services as well, We should better appreciate our time(s) together as individuals, groups, families, or colleagues. We are essential to each other. Here's to wishing this pandemic will go away very soon and hoping we all are making a difference around us in our community, family, and/or self, by improving every variable in our, and one another's lives.
